Trying To Train At World's End

I am going to be reprinting some old classic entries from my previous blog called The Angry Grappler. It will chronicle the evolution in my understanding of martial arts.

I just got back from Australia and New zealand and sadly got no BJJ done. In Sydney, the closest school was too far from the actual city. In NZ, I flat out got denied. I came 30 mins before the BJJ class and they told me to come back at 4 when the receptionist was there, even though no BJJ was at that time. I've never had that happen to me in grappling before. My friend from NZ told me the BJJ scene in NZ was full of dicks and hooligans and I couldn't believe it cuz BJJ is always so laid back, it has tons of politics but everyone welcomes visitors. Man... had to go all the way to world's end to get denied.
